The government makes the decision: Anyone denying war crimes in Kosovo will be convicted by law

The government has decided to draw up legal initiatives by the Ministry of Justice and others for sanctioning denial of crimes that took place in Kosovo during the last war.

This government decision came after Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj's initiative.

“I demand that we have legal initiative and concrete steps that in the future such statements of Serbian officials be punished through law”, Hoxhaj said at the government's meeting.

“in most Western countries the denial of crime and genocide is considered the greatest insult to victims, families and nation”.

The genocide that has been done in Kosovo is undeniable. I think it must be protected through law the dignity of the victims in Kosovo”, Hoxhaj said, in part.
