Yann Abdelhamid Mohamdi falsely claimed to have been in Casa Nostra restaurant when the fire was opened, killing five people outside.
He has already been convicted of selling footage of the attack on the Daily Mail newspaper.
The court sentenced him to one year's imprisonment for trying to cheat.

The second year of the sentence was lifted. Another man named Serge Diejustse had admitted that he had been a victim on another occasion. So he was given the like of it.
Claiming to have been in the restaurant cellar during the attack, Mohammad had tried to win compensation from the victims' national fund.
The Fund, however, denied that compensation and found that it had not been at all in the attack in 2015, which left 130 people dead and injured 350 others.
Even prosecutors said his confession had been motivated by the eventual financial benefit.
