Foreign investments drop for 24m euros

This decline has mostly affected the construction sector, the industry and transport and communication sector, writes today “Koha Ditore”. The cause for this ongoing decline in investments, according to economic awareness, is political instability, corruption and bureaucratic barriers.
According to them, the government has not taken concrete action to promote foreign investments, and those after interest are leaving for other Balkan countries. They say calls for investments are not enough without concrete offers for investors.
Such was the letter of Minister of Trade and Industry Andrew Shala, who has appealed to the Volkswagen Investment Company in Kosovo following warnings this company had made for an investment of about 1.4 billion euros in Southeast Europe.
