Rama warns early elections if opposition wins June 30th

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the “Bashkia activity we want” part of the second session of the Socialist Party Congress, has spoken of changes in Tirana that are led by Erion Veliaj declaring that “Tirana today is incarnation of our transformative force and the mirror of our desire for change”. Rama turned Tirana into the first Tirana 4 [...]
Rama turned Tirana into a reservative of the first 4 years, while invited citizens to turn their backs on it. The prime minister said that “this Tirana has no connection with what can be seen with the memory eye”.
Speaking of the June local elections, Rama said they would be held even without the opposition if necessary. He went even further, when he challenged the opposition, that if they triumphed in local elections, they would go to early elections.
If you in the June 30th elections win a municipality more than we do. We are willing to go to early elections. I know you won't accept this challenge. You can't beat the SP neither in Kukes nor in Skrapar, and leave it all over Albania”, Rama said.
However, the Albanian government chief said the DP is afraid to enter the election because it does not win, adding that Basha would be lost even if he was alone in the race.
“Lulzim Basha fears elections because it cannot win them. Lulzim Basha cannot even win his party but not steal it. No longer will we win with the great jealousy of the system we've chosen that we will neither change it nor learn it for the sake of Lulzim. I even have a suspicion, but I can't prove it, like we don't get into the election on June 30th, and Luli comes in alone still doesn't win the elections because he can seriously steal, but he can't win. No longer vote”, Rama said
Rama invited opposition parties to sit on the table to discuss some of the open issues, such as electoral reform involving electronic counting.
The Albanian prime minister has also had messages for President Ilir Meta, who days ago declared he is willing to sacrifice for the country by resigning.
We're not even representing Ilir Meta. Ilir Meta feels so unrepresented that he feels like a military junta will attack the Presidential Palace. Mr. President knows you can hear me. We are and will always remain a NATO country. If you don't trust me, trust the Pande. I guarantee how much to have the Pande this country does not leave NATO. And at the end of the day, the political end of Luli and Monica should not be my problem, yours and our”, Rama said.
