The two largest Western superpowers, the US and Germany, have increased interest in Kosovo.
Last week in Pristina were two advisers of US National Security Councillor John Bolton, while the coming week in Pristina will be the two main foreign policy advisers of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Matthias Luetenberg and Jan Hecker.
“They will come to Pristina on March 11th to meet President Thaci and Prime Minister Haradinaj”, a source of the Gazette Express has said, which has demanded that it remain anonymous.
According to this central source of these meetings will be taxes and dialogue.
Germany's government, as opposed to the American, has so far been more balanced in relation to the tax on Serbia, blaming Kosovo for this move, but also Serbia for its negative campaign to Kosovo.
On every proposal on the subject, German officials have been careful.
The visit of these two top advisers is expected to be critical in relation to the future of the tax on Serbian goods, but also for dialogue as a whole.
Mr. Haradinaj to resist American pressure is said to have come from a silent support of the German government, as speculated by President Thaci is extremely excited by the Germans.
