US Ambassador to Pristina Philip Kosnett said the founding of this unit testifies that the Auditor's Office will not be held back from fighting corruption and fraud in Kosovo.
According to him, many Kosovo institutions are not doing their job, as 1/3 of them do not follow the audience's recommendations, and there is also no punishment for failing to implement the recommendations on the part of the audience.
Kosovoers deserve to have leaders and institutions fighting crime and corruption. The time has come for leaders to take over law enforcement”, the American ambassador ordered.
The American diplomat also had a call to security organs to deal more with law enforcement, while there were good words for the work of the Auditor's Office.
The general audience, Besnik Osmani, said it is a special unit tasked with helping the audience be a bridge to the justice system.
Otherwise, with USAID's help 60 audiences have been trained, while according to Osman, they are in the last phase of general auditing of all institutions.
