Fires engulf Macedonia's mountains

In Dracheva the fire has also included the railway, and in Licavica, Jelina, where energy has remained because of burning the country's electric poles. From the Directorate for Protection and Salvation say they have the situation under control and that they expect to locate and extinguish all fires. They also appeal to the Communists to give their best in extinguishing fires before they seek help with the Directorate for Protection and Salvation, broadcast Alsat M.
Under the suspicion that it caused fire, last night the B.S incial person from the Debarca municipality has been deprived of freedom, while two other people from Ohrid have filed criminal charges. MPB spokesman Tony Angelovski says blue uniforms continue to investigate and sanction people who cause fires and endanger the lives of residents.
We have so far established eight criminal charges against eight persons for committing eight criminal acts, “Cause of total risk”.
Of these criminal charges, two were held last night in Ohrid. We continue further with the sanction of all those who cause general danger. This year's first three months are marked by over 100 registered fires, while MPB has so far established only eight criminal charges.
