The state of education in Kosovo continues to be serious, while the challenge remains not to implement the curriculum, lack of relevant textbooks and politicisation of educational institutions.
The head of the EU office in Kosovo, Natalia Apostolova, said the expected results have not yet been achieved, even considering that any postponement in this sector is a crime against Kosovo youth.
According to her, the most obvious is the lack of curriculum that has been working on textbooks that are also discriminatory for 10 years. It has invited all representatives of education to reach a platform leading to improving the situation in education in Kosovo.
Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqi said the state of education in Kosovo is not what is required to be. According to him, the early level of education is at the conclusion of the final curriculum, while saying they are working hard on depoliticising schools.
Bytyqi has considered that the lack of adequate teaching training has influenced the failure to apply the curriculum sufficiently, even as a challenge he has repeated the lack of infrastructure.
He said they are working as minister to raise the level of higher education by working on the independence of the Accreditation Agency, until he sought out the most controlled university and college leaders in order to offer quality education.
That the state of education in Kosovo is in poor condition, the chairman of the Kosovo Assembly's Education Commission, Ismail Kurteshi, has also said.
Kurteshi as the challenge has counted its lack of budget and inadequate management, politicisation of schools, and no spread of decentralisation in education.
