But this date officially marked even on the Festival Calendar does not apply to the private sector. Many textile shops and other types in the capital are working -- why it is vacation according to the state calendar, reports Klan Kosova.
Behind the cameras, workers have said that these days are not compensated for days of rest or pay, as is decreed by law.
According to Private Sector Union Director Yusuf Azemi working these days is legal, but there are conditions that must be met.
“In state holidays, workers should rest, but however, the law does not prohibit whether these workers work, but about the time and the work they do, especially holiday days, their salary should be 50 per cent greater”, he said.
But apparently these workers are not receiving such compensation.
