The Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has reacted to the case of the girl from Drenas, who after the sexual abuse by police investigator Vesel Wessel was pregnant while having had an abortion at the private clinic of gynecologist Fehmi Ahmeti.
According to this association, gynecologist Ahmeti has been targeted without justice, as he has not committed any legal violations in this case.
“inform you that based on the Law on Cutting Off Standard No. 03/L-110 published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Kosovo: Every woman over 18 has the right to decide freely to abort pregnancy according to the criteria of this law. Cutting off pregnancy may occur until the end of the tenth week of pregnancy by counting from the first day of the menstrual cycle. Pregnant pregnancy is done in health institutions by the physician obstetric/genecologist licensed. The term for suspension of pregnancy is set for at least two days after the first visit of”, the SUDG quoted legal provisions.
