scandalous New Year's Price - Citizens in Crisis

Citizens of Tirana in recent days have spent more money on buying the same basket products. A survey made in the capital's markets states that there has been an increase in food prices since Christmas, but also in vegetables ranging from 5 to 20 dollars.

“In all it has had, increased all prices, mainly in vegetables”, citizens say.

Pensioners are the ones who suffer most the cost of buying food products. They try to solve the problem by buying the necessities.

“We're pensioners, we're low wages, we have no New Year's tops, says a pensioner.

High in value are citizens living in Europe and returning to Albania for holidays. They say that compared with countries where food is living, it is higher at a time when the standard of living is lower.

But there are also citizens who are in a better economic situation and have not noticed the change in prices.

“are affordable”, says another citizen.

Camera dealers say there are small price changes, especially in imported products. But their main concern is that sales have dropped significantly if compared to a year ago. /Periscope
