Mirvette Hasani Lushtaku, wife of the former head of the Skywright municipality Sami Lushtaku, has been sentenced to six months in prison after being convicted of allowing Lushtak's escape from the Kosovo Clinical and University Centre (QKUK).
But this sentence, with the consent of the accused, has been replaced by fines -- in many of the 3,500 euros -- which, if not paid, the penalty will be turned into prison.
The indictment against her has been declared after two days earlier the plea agreement was approved, after which the procedure against her had been set aside.
Sami Lushtaku had escaped from QKUK in May 2014, while being treated at the University Clinic of Kosovo at the time she was in custody in the case of Djrenica.
In addition to Mirevte Hasan Lushtaku charged with this case are their son, Mergim Lushtaku, Emruesh Thaqi, Shemsi Hajrizi, Sami Gjotari, Nexhip Shatri, Ismail Dibrani, Agim Ukaj, Agim Ukay, Rruste Rrutta, Fatmir Mjaku, Scender Tahiri, Sheremet Jashar, Bajram Didan Gedani, Derviselol, Valon Behraj, Axhimaj, Ylbaraj, Ahmet Ghazimaj, and Xhedev.
