The diocese of the mayor of Paris stated this week that it was the first time in 200 years that Christmas Mass would not be held in cathedrals.
According to French radio broadcaster “Frenchinfo”, the mass was held this morning at the Gruss circus in Bois de Boulogne Park located on the western side of the French capital.
The historic Paris Church was engulfed in fire in April, where the roof was completely destroyed. Reconstruction will likely last for years. France's President Emmanuel Macron has declared that the cathedral will be rebuilt by 2024. /tch
