The identity of the policeman who killed the citizen in Gjilan has been discovered

The policeman, Brother Hamdi, killed the citizen, Lulzim Spahiu.

Hamdiu is a police official who has been part of foreign delegations.

The prime minister's office has reacted, saying it is not part of the near defence.

IPK investigators have continued to take investigative action in co-ordination with the guardian prosecutor at the scene.

Based on preliminary investigations, the alleged V.H. (Kosovo Police member from the nearby Protection Unit), allegedly after a dispute over an accident has fired gunfire in the direction of the victim.

As part of the IPK investigative procedure, he confiscated a GLOCK 9<19 weapon allegedly used by the suspect in this case and a cartoon.

Two Beretta-type guns have been found and confiscated in the suspect's vehicle.

IPK investigators in co-operation with the regional investigation unit have also implemented a warrant for raids in the village of Malisheve of Gjilan at the suspect's home and escort facilities.

Further investigative actions in connection with this incident will continue by IPK investigators in continued consultation with the prosecutor responsible.
