PDK MP Besa Ismaili has visited Sister Smila in the Catholic Church in Ulpiana for Christmas.
She also shares a story with Sister Smila:
Traditionally, my daughter and I visit Christmas with sisters in the Catholic Church in Ulpiana.
Sister Smila, a few days ago, celebrated her birthday! Full of 80 years in good health, sacrifice and unhurt service in the community and society!
With Sister Smila together, we have done some small, good jobs, with a positive impact on society!
Our challenging ways have impressed on memories that I gladly share with my students and friends!
I am sharing a memory today with you - about three years ago, when the waves of refugees from Syria, along with a winter cold, overwhelmed the Balkans with Sister Smila, sister Leonora from the Protestant Church, and Svetlana from the Orthodox Church organized the collection of winter clothes for refugees. As much as we could, women managed to load a truck. With Sister Smila and Xheladin we traveled to the border of Macedonia... . To cut short the account: We wanted to build a different narrator among many other examples. Interoperative dialogue and not archotypes and distances! The tolerance of living, not just talked about and ceremonially.
I personally wanted to show you some young people and young people that if they wanted to help Syria they could do it from here, helping refugees...
And many other examples, to act symbolicly like these, that for me, and the new responsibility that awaits me, will be additional inspiration and encouragement for more dialogue, more justice, more strengthening of family values, and the values of our Kosovo!
On holidays like today, it is a special pleasure to see new generations build away on these once and more initiatives that they choose today!
Interreligious and intercultural tolerance is nothing basic, nor should it be taken lightly! She wants maintenance, wants good maintenance, and commitment, and consistency, and self-reliance, and sincerity, and above all love!
Dialogue is a prerequisite for peace, for change for good!
For all my Christian friends, Merry Christmas! Health and prosperity for you and your families!
