The names of 28 people who lost their lives in the earthquake are published

This is the hardest communication that can be met by an Albanian state official, which I would like never to happen. The quake of the 26th was indeed a serious event. It has caused fear and anxiety, feelings that repeat every time the earth sways, just as it happened a few minutes ago, has caused massive damage that will take time to recover. But we'll recover. Homes will be rebuilt, businesses will be restored, life will resume for all citizens and you will all have our support, all the support of the Albanian state, international partners, Albanian citizens, to get through this difficult situation and to start over again. But there's something we can't take back. None of us can. There are 28 lives lost, leaving behind a void no one can fill”.

I know words are too much and nothing can comfort their families for defeat. But in a sign of respect for lost lives, I want to share today with all citizens the names of 28 children, girls, boys, men and women who failed to survive this tragedy, to remember together in these hours of pain and comfort for all”, Defence Minister Olita Gack said.
