The purpose of this day is to respect it as a day of brotherhood and understanding among children worldwide.
November 20th is marked in the calendar as “International Children's Rights Day”.
The timing of this day has taken root from the Convention on Children's Rights approved by the United Nations General Assembly on November 20, 1989.
This day is also meant to be a day of activity to promote the ideals and goals of the Charter for the Rights of the Children, as well as the welfare of the children of the world.
November 20th coincides with the day of the adoption of the Declaration for the Rights of the Child in 1959, as well as the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989.
According to the Convention, which is the most ratified agreement all over the world, for human rights, includes the right to life, the right to health, education and play.
Also the right to have a family to protect against violence and discrimination.
In the case of this day, numerous activities will be organised in Pristina and other municipalities in the country, where children will be at the centre.
