US Ambassador Philip Costnet, who initially expressed respect for all survivors, said no category should be in constant attention.
“Grath and men who survived the violation during the war by enemy forces face further pain from neighbours, friends and family. We've all heard those stories from survivors that are physically depressed”, Costett said.
He has demanded that this category of survivors be treated well and dignified.
QKMRT Director Feride Rushiti stressed that this anniversary, as important, is also emotional.
That world our center was small, but our will and devotion was great. We have extended our services to Kosovo, and very soon this centre became very hopeful for the lives of those whose recent war left serious physical, mental and health consequences. So this centre for two decades was the main address for more than 18 thousand individuals, or their family members who have benefited directly or indirectly from the QKMT services”, Rushiti said.
She added that for two decades of the CRC there has been commitment to a better and more human society.
The ambassador of Great Britain, Nicholas Abbott, said that survivors of sexual violence deserve special respect and devotion for them every time.
Also present was Nobel Peace Prize Laureate 2018, Denis Muquege
