Brian Latifi implies that the Special Court can take away independence

Latifi has rejected all those who say the Special Court is not judging the KLA and KLA war but individuals within it.

He claims that if members of this headquarters are accused, then “it is clear that the imminent charges affect the character of the KLA war, because the policy of this war has been under the authority of this headquarters. ”

It is repeatedly said that the Special Court will not judge the KLA war, but only former members of it, suspected of crimes. However, questioning of high KLA profiles, some in the quality of the suspect -- and some in that witness -- logically suggests that the Special Court prosecutor is gradually moving towards charges hitting the KLA's General Staff. If members of this headquarters are accused, it is clear that the inevitable charges also affect the character of the KLA war, because the policy of this war has been under the authority of this headquarters. Something like that would naturally weaken Kosovo's position in dialogue with Serbia and, in the worst version, help the position of all those seeking a new compromise between Kosovo and Serbia, and any new compromise implies the touch of February 17, 2008.
