Laurent Simons is studying electrical engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE).
Driven by professors like the extraordinary “, Laurent is on track to complete his studies in December.
He then plans to do his doctorate for electrical engineering while also studying medicine, his father told CNN.
His parents, Lydia and Alexander Simons, thought Laurent's grandparents were overreacting when they said he was a “gift”, but the genius teachers quickly confirmed it.
They noticed something very special about Laurent”, Lydia said.
Laurent underwent many exams from his teachers who sought to learn more about talent. They told us that he's a sponge”, Alexander said.
The 9-year-old comes from a family of doctors. And his parents have so far received no explanation of why their child is able to learn so quickly.
Laughing, her mother said that she had eaten a lot of fish during pregnancy.
