107 years later, Ezani is called from Ali Pasha Mosque in Ohrid

The mine of this mosque had collapsed during the bombings in the Balkan wars, while restoration works were opened after a ceremony.

Turkey's Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ahmet Misbah Demircan, chairman of the Islamic Community of Northern Macedonia, Sulejman Rexhepi, deputy chairman of Turkey's Religious Affairs Chiefship (Dijanet), Burhan ⇩şlien, Turkey's ambassador, Tülin Erkal Kara, the head of Turkey's Directorate General of Romanians, Dr. Adnan Ertem, deputy head of the North Macedonia Assembly Zecir Ramcillovic, Ohrid mufti Samet Hajdari, along with the muftis of all North Macedonia, representatives of Turkish institutions in northern Macedonia, representatives of political parties in the country, as well as other guests.

Turkey's Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Ahmet Misbah Demircan, his speech at the ceremony, began by conveying the greetings of Turkey's president, Recep Tayip Erdoğan and the Turkish people.

Voicing regret over the earthquake occurring in Albania, Demircan congratulated Allah's mercy on the victims.

He said that Turkey with its institutions, such as the Turkish Agency for Co-operation and Development (TIKA) and the Authority for Disaster Management and Emergency Management (AFAD), is located in the region to heal wounds and stressed that his country will always be close to the Albanian people.

He said they got together for a good job.

I am very happy because with you I am part of an unfathomable kindness like the resurrection of the house of Allah”, Demircan said.

Demircan pointed out that all those who have worked at restoration, whether materially or spiritually, are part of this repair.

Turkey and Northern Macedonia are different states. But neither our soul nor our sanctuary has a state. Our soul is one, our sanctuary is one. For us Muslims, even our differences are for unity. We believe so. Ali Pasha's mosque in Ohrid is a sign that we have melted differences into a container of unity. So far it's come this way, even to eternity it'll go that way. I wish the same luck to all the monuments that are amate from the common past”, the Turkish deputy minister stressed.

Meanwhile, the head of Turkey's Directorate General of Vakefs, Dr. Adnan Ertem, said that with the guidance of President Erdoğan, work continues on the heels of Ottoman monuments in Balkan geography.

He announced that the institution he runs has previously restored the Hajdar Qadi Mosque in Manastir.

Ertem further stated that the restoration work at the Hoxha Mahmut mosque in Manastir continues, adding that projects for restoration of Ottoman mosques, vaquent monuments, Isa Beu and Jahja Pasha in Skopje have been drafted.

He stressed that any restoration process has difficulties, thanks to Ohrid citizens, the Islamic Religious Community of Northern Macedonia and Turkey's Embassy in Skopje.

Citizens showed great interest in opening the mosque. The mosque was opened with prayer, and after the esan called after 107 years, I prayed to the plebe.
