Who is Zelko Boyic, and what are his ties to criminals Veselinovic and Radojevic
Kosovo police, during today's action in the country's north, have failed to arrest the main wanted person, Zelko Boyic -- chief of operations in the northern part, who is suspected of hiding evidence in the case of Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic's murder. Bojic escaped this action because he was not found in police-wanted places, but his son, Velko Bijic, was arrested, whose weapons and ammunition were found. He was released after the interview.

Boyic was reportedly not in the apartment when police went to arrest him, since he was on vacation in the town of Budvas in Montenegro.

But who is Zelko Bojq, and what is his proximity to the two criminals in the north?

Zelko Bojic, who officially holds the position of chief operative in northern Mitrovica, except that he is suspected of hiding evidence of the murder of Serbian politician Oliver Ivanov, he is linked to the two most famous criminals in the north, Zvonko Veselinovic and Milan Radojciq. What was his role in the crime scenarios in the north?

An official response provides a detailed report that was drafted by EULEX investigators, Insander writes.

According to this EULEX investigative file, an agreement had been reached in the north in 2009 to benefit smugglers and at the expense of the country.

Former commander of the Police Station in northern Mitrovica, Milija Milosevich, had become the guarantor of the biggest criminals there. In exchange for unimpeded criminal activity, Milosevic, known as “Pix”, benefited regular monthly wages, cars, summer holidays in Budva, lunch and dinner. Someone paid 300 euros a month, someone 400, while Zvonko Veselinovic was the biggest donor. In this way, smuggling of oil, alcohol, drugs and weapons developed without any serious obstacles to northern Kosovo.

In the files of EULEX investigators, who were published by “Koha Ditore”, it is seen that Milosevevic had had had a close escort from his international colleagues. They knew everything about him, as did the responsible Pristina authorities. But no one held him back until he opened up breaking the Kosovo Police chain of command.

When his associates were arrested by Kosovo Serb policemen, Milosevic intervened. Get rid of the reports and block the investigation. On one occasion, he had even returned his possession of a weapon to the son of one of the northern leaders.

In Milosevic's illegal activities, Zelko Bojic played an important role. He officially held the position of the sergeant, but in reports between Milosevic, with Veselinovic and Rado aicicin, he also made the money postman and “negoctor” when they got involved in criminal acts because of his closeness with them.

In another case, Bijic had also negotiated with Albanian prosecutor Vahide Badivuk, who had ordered the arrest of Veselinovic and Radojici.

According to EULEX, Milosevqi regularly received money for summer vacations from Zvonko Veselinic through Sergeant Zelko Bojic.

In the EULEX report, one more case occurred on April 06th 2009, when Milan Radiociq was driving his white car “Range Rover” sports in Mitrovica. With it, according to a report, he had deliberately attempted to hit a police car in northern Mitrovica.

Police had informed the commander of the Milija Milosevic station about the incident, but when Milan Radiociq's name was mentioned, Milija Milosevic told police he would ask Zelko Bojic to speak to Milan Radiociqi, because he had better relations with him. Never opened a case for this event, all ended with only a statement by Milan Radiociq, which was written in the EULEX report.

According to EULEX files, Bojq was once again involved in negotiating between the northern criminals and Kosovo institutions.

On July 30th 2009, Zvonko Veselinovic and Milan Radiociq had threatened a Kosovo Serb policeman to death while on duty.

After an official investigation had been opened, incumbent public prosecutor Vahide Badivuk had instructed investigators to arrest the two suspects and send them to her. This hadn't happened.

A few days later, early in August 2009, Zelko Bojic and Milan Ristovic, two Kosovo Police officials assigned to Task Force in northern Mitrovica, had been seen south of Mitrovica along with Vahide Badivuk. The prosecutor was sitting inside the Kosovo Police's Golf 5 vehicle negotiating with them.

According to EULEX, Zelko Bojic and Milan Ristevic had an informal meeting with the prosecutor to negotiate on behalf of Zvonko in order to appoint judges to downplay the sentence before the arrest.

On August 14th 2009, Zvonko Veselinovic and Milan Radojecic surrendered to the Police with self-intensives. During the statement, investigators searched the database through their operative official and realised Zvonko Veselinic is wanted under a court warrant for criminal acts dating back to 2003 and must be brought to the Municipal Court in Mitrovica. Also, Miloan Radiociq must appear at the Municipal Court in Pristina with the aim of announcing the decision, with which he was sentenced to six months in prison for serious theft”, writes in the files. “At this point, station commander Milina Milosevich has intervened and ordered investigators to release two suspects after receiving their” statements.

The EULEX report concluded that many incidents in northern Mitrovica illustrated the fact that criminals in this part could neither be investigated nor arrested by Kosovo police.

The previously mentioned <x0) incidents illustrate the fact that known criminals operating in northern Mitrovica are protected by any investigation and arrest by Kosovo police officials in the north”, the report concludes.

“in particular from station commander Milja Milosevicq, head of the so-called Task Force group, Sergeant Zelko Bojic, Police Officer Pegrad Bogosavlevic, members of the regional intelligence unit in Mitrovica and many others. The reliable information shows that Pegrad Bogosavlevq has been regularly paid for his services by Milan Ivanovic, one of Zvonko Veselinovic's lieutenants”.
