The world first heard of us, the Syrian Democratic Forces [ The FDS], during civil war chaos in our country [Sari]. I serve as the Supreme Command. The FDS has more than 70 thousand soldiers fighting jihadist extremism, ethnic hatred, and women's oppression since 2015. My soldiers have become very disciplined and professional. Never fired a single bullet against Turkey. American soldiers and officials know us well and have always praised our effectiveness and skill.

I've always told you our forces, the war is ours! jihadist terrorists of Islamic State [ ISIS] came to Syria from around the world. We are the ones to fight because they occupied our lands, robbed our villages, killed our children, enslaved our women.

We lost 11 thousand soldiers, some of whom were best commanders and warriors, to save our people from this great danger. I've always told our forces that Americans and other Allied forces are our partners, and we always have to make sure they don't get hurt.

Amid the chaos of war, we always adhered to our ethics and discipline, unlike many other non-state actors. We defeated al Qaedan. We destroyed him. I The SIS, and, at the same time, we built a system of good governance based on small government, pluralism and diversity. We offered services through local government authorities for Arabs, Kurds, and Syrian Christians. We called for a Syrian national plural identity that would involve everyone inside. This is our vision of Syria's political future: decentralised federalism, with religious freedom and respect for cultural differences.

The forces I command are already dedicated to protecting a third of Syria against the invasion of Turkey and its jihadist mercenaries. The area of Syria we defend has been safe for refugees and for people who survived the genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out by Turkey against Kurds, Syriacs, Assyrians and Armenians over the past two centuries.

We guard more than 12,000 terrorist prisoners of I SIS and we carried the burden of radicalized women and children. We also protect this part of Syria from Iranian militia.

When the whole world failed to support us, the United States reached out to us. We took his hand and appreciated that genetic support from them. At Washington's request, we agreed to remove our heavy weapons from the border area with Turkey, destroy our defence fortifications, and remove the best fighters. Turkey would never attack us if the US government kept its word on us.

We are now hanging out with our breasts in front of Turkish knives.

President Donald Trump has long promised the withdrawal of American troops. We understand that. Fathers want to see their children laughing in their laps, seeing their girlfriends whisper words, everybody wants to go home.

We, however, are not demanding that the American military be on the battlefield. We know that the United States is not the police of the world. But we want the United States to accept the important role of achieving a political solution for Syria. We are sure that Washingo is likely to mediate a lasting peace between us and Turkey.

We believe in democracy as a fundamental concept, but because of the Turkish invasion and the existential threat it poses to our people, we need to reconsider our alliances. The Russians and the Syrian regime have made proposals that can save the lives of millions of people living under our protection. We do not believe their promises. To be honest, it's hard to know who we can trust.
