Albin Kurti, the candidate for prime minister from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks, has launched a “tur” in Albania. There have been many meetings and interviews with media leaders there.
In one of these, Kurti has discovered that he has asked Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, to lift the payment that has been set for “Nation Street”.
Kurti says that Rama has spoken about removing barriers between the two states, and that's what the 5-euro fee to be paid on the highway linking Albania and Kosovo is mentioned.
We have opened up the issue of economic co-operation and market liberalisation, and the removal of trade barriers. And I have expressed our position that while we have an unfair administrative border, we have an additional obstacle to pay for. It's too heavy for the Albanian citizen, so I'm engaged in an alternative solution to this. We've opened it as a topic, but this is also a subject that we haven't closed”, Kurty said about Ora News.
Kurt met Rama last night, while he said this was their first meeting after 14 months.
