The German diplomat has now said they are in co-ordination and regular communication with the United States of America on all issues related to the Western Balkans.
Asked whether you view American engagement as a competition for the EU, Schutz has said that he welcomes the fact that the US is paying greater importance to dialogue between Pristina and EU-brokered Belgrade.
We welcome the fact that the US, like us, devote great political importance to EU-mediated dialogue. The EU and the US are in regular and intensive communication for all issues dealing with the Western Balkans, including dialogue. All are aware that the agreement can be reached only if all sides are cooperative.
