EU investment in central heating in Pristina

Currently, projects worth 6m euros are under way in replacing existing tubes aimed at improving the quality of heating supply for existing consumers, as well as expanding heating supplies for new customers in Pristina.
Currently, work is being completed to connect the Kalabria district, children's garden “Smile”, the Faculty of Architecture and Police Station No. 2.
Some of the old pipes and substations have been replaced in the Dardania district, while works on the Sun Coast have almost finished replacing pipes to improve the quality of the heating supply.
Next year the works will continue with the network extension in Matti's neighborhood.
According to the 2015 IPA programme, the EU Office in Kosovo further supports the development of energy infrastructure in the country through improved central heating network in Pristina, as well as the new bio-enhancing plant in Gjakova, worth a total of 21m euros.
