Wessel is again caught with LDK's Vetevendosje: You're afraid of elections.

Kosovo Assembly Chairman Kadri Veselini has said that the formation of the State Team, which will go to Brussels on January 8th, is good initiative and that state responsibility in the decision-making process in the final phase of dialogue with Serbia, is living. He has welcomed the PSD's involvement in this [...]
He has welcomed the PSD's involvement in the Ekip, while, he hopes there will also be reflections by the VV's LDK.
I believe such reflection by some opposition is good news. I hope we have reflections from two other opposition parties, the LDK and the VV, to follow the example of state responsibility”, he said.
According to him, Kosovo expects recognition from Serbia and is sitting in the UN.
Wessel, also president The PDK, in the “Week Interview” in Koha.net, has also spoken of President Hashim Thaci's idea of exchange of territories -- an idea which recently was not mentioned by the head of state.
Serbia must recognise Kosovo on February 17th 2008. We will take our state obligations to all communities, and our journey is very clear, with the US in close partnership and eternal friendship, with the European Union as our home”, Veselin said.
He said that with the formation of the Negotiator Team, where co-chairers are Fatmir Limaj and Shpend Ahmeti, reports with Thaci are very correct and institutional.
“Hashim Thaci is president of the Republic of Kosovo, with legitimacy and full authority. He's a man of historical baggage, but he's also a man of perspective. In the dialogue, he will play his own role, which he gives the Constitution”, Wessel said further.
Wessel has also talked about the opposition parties' call to go to the polls. But, he said they're afraid of elections.
“Determination, particularly the LDK, is doing nothing but declaration. In reality, they are afraid of the” elections, he said.
The governor, in this interview, also talks about the activism of the Special Court, the time when during the war it was Lullija and then became chief of the SHIK, that the associate had “Gharprin”, the formation of the Kosovo Army, reports with NATO, the PAN coalition and many other issues.
Time.net: Mr. Wessel was voted in the Parliament Resolution for Dialogue, while in the Negotiator Team there will be individuals from the opposition's position. Was it not welcomed by the other two opposition parties, the VV's LDK? What can be expected now?
Wessel: It's good news. It's a good initiative. The state responsibility in the decision-making process in the final phase of dialogue with Serbia is living. Kosovo expects from this process recognition by Serbia and is sitting in the UN, as it goes with very clear positions of sovereignty and unscathed territorial integrity, with even richer value of advancing community rights, but never against constitutional, so not association with executive competencies. I believe such reflection by a part of the opposition is good news. I hope we have reflections from two other opposition parties, the LDK and the VV, to follow the example of state responsibility.
Time.net: Talks with Serbia have stalled, while it is conditional that if Kosovo wants the dialogue continued, the tax imposed on Serbian goods will be lifted. How do you think the question of dialogue will flow now?
Wessel: Dialogue is the process of finalising a new era, which will be good neighbourly, where Serbia and Kosovo mutually know each other. As far as the fee is concerned, Serbia must understand that Kosovo is an independent and sovereign state. Our every move is not one-sided action, but it is the reciprocity measure that Serbia does. Serbia must admit that with its neighbour in the southern part, it must behave dignifiedly. On the contrary, any of their violating actions will have our dignified response and make Serbia understand and feel the state of Kosovo every day.
Time.net: Let's talk about President Hashim Thaci's idea of exchanging territories. You have been critical of this idea and the draft document proposed by the government, not changing borders is a prerequisite for talks with Serbia. Now, do you expect Serbia to recognise the state of Kosovo with the territory we have?
Wessel: Far from being the case, Serbia must recognise Kosovo on February 17th 2008. We will take our state obligations to all communities and our journey is very clear, with the US in close partnership and eternal friendship, with the European Union as our home. We will continue the path of development and economic transformation, which makes Kosovo's citizen feel more satisfied and living in his country, not leaving for economic reasons.
Time.net: How are reports with President Thaci following the formation of the Dialog Negotiator Team? In a way, has his role in this process waned? Have you encountered a Thaci reaction?
Wessel: They're very correct, institutional reports. Hashim Thaci is president of the Republic of Kosovo, with legitimacy and full authority. He's a man of historical baggage, but he's also a man of perspective. In the dialogue, he will play his role that the Constitution gives him.
Time.net: Mr. Wessel, also voted in the Assembly for the transformation of KSF into Army, although strongly opposed by his chief. NATO, Mr. Stoltenberg. While at the UN's KS, eight EU states, plus the US, gave support to this process. Do you think this has fluctuated reports with NATO?
Wessel: No, not at all. It will strengthen reports with NATO. We are very grateful to the states that have supported us, NATO member states, at the helm with the United States. While, we want and expect very soon, too, the reflection of other NATO countries, which have had concerns about Serbia's manipulations, realise the fact that Kosovo has only Western stance, that Kosovo wants good neighbourly relations, that Kosovo is an independent and sovereign state, that Kosovo has armies that are a military partnership and good neighbourly army, that Kosovo will be a NATO member.
Time.net: Special Court activated. You, earlier this year have protected Special and said it is imminent action. Now only has it started sending invitations to The Hague. How do you comment on this, and how do you anticipate the process?
Wessel: The KLA story is the story of the liberation movement, it's the sacred story of a captive people who reacted to defend themselves, is a story of pride. The Special Court was a decision imposed on Kosovo institutions and we were willing to sacrifice everything for the independent and sovereign state of Kosovo. Each must respond to its call and proudly present the truth of our heroic, clean, and just war and deny false claims that try to clothe our freedom efforts.
Time.net: Let's talk about the reports with the MPs removed from Vetevendosje, the PSD. When they were in the first party, you had a lot of clashes and accusations with them. Now it is clear that you have normalized relations with them. What's going on?
Wessel: We need to be responsible for the moment we're going into this. That's what we should all consider, the opposition position.
Time.net: Speculation that they, so PSD deputies, are already part of the ruling coalition?
Wessel: They are MPs to the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo and it is good news for the country that has joined the dialogue process.
Time.net: You have proposed Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj. Do you think he's doing the job as you expected?
Wessel: I believe Prime Minister Haradinaj is making maximum efforts to facilitate the lives of our citizens. There are great expectations among the citizens of our country. But even our attempt as a coalition is too great for these expectations of citizens to succeed in achieving, in hopes of the future in their lives in Kosovo.
Time.net: Yes coalition PAN, in general, how is “maintained”?
Wessel: There is a correctness, a empowerment of this partnership, which every time on the basis of its own action has the interest of citizens and citizenship.
Time.net: Recently, the opposition, the LDK and Vetevendosje, are calling for the country's moving to extraordinary elections. What are the odds of such a decision? Is the PDK ready to go to the polls?
Wessel: Vetevendosje, particularly the LDK, is doing nothing but declaration. Actually, they're afraid of elections.
Time.net: Let's change the subject a little bit. During the war you were Luli. You've become chief of the SHIK from the war. How long does the picture go with the agent?
Wessel: Each individual is a man who, in adequate circumstances, serves his homeland, the citizens, the nation he belongs to.
Time.net: Remember to tell Vetevendosje in the country that <x0 will be fed up with SHIC”. They've even heard rumours that SHIK, the most existent organization, has divided Vetevendosje. What can you tell us about this?
Wessel: Part of our policy sees its survival through speculation. I'm very careful. For no part of my life do I have to fry. At all my activities you'll only find service to the country. My engagement even under SHIK will make me proud, while those who speculate can fry. It's my wish, even, that at an adequate time, we discuss this matter.
Time.net: You've had your <x0... Where and does the “Gjarpri” now distinguish “
Wessel: Hashim Thaci has had co-operaters in the student movement, co-operative in the Kosovo Liberation Army, as well as working closely in all post-war processes, which culminated with Kosovo's declaration of independence. I'm proud of the successes we've achieved together, all in the service of the nation we meet. When we started the event, Kosovo was captive, under Serbia's deep domination. Now, thanks to the activity of many statesmen and collaborators and collaborators of peaceful and combat resistance, today Kosovo is free, is an independent and sovereign state and speaks of prospects for NATO integration, the EU and the UN.
