A German-Russian teenager, who was on vacation in Austria, died under avalanches while his parents and brother saw the scene unable to help him, according to reports.
”Familja called for help after being involved in this deadly incident”, a spokesman for the Tyrol police said.
The 16-year-old Academy died of avalanche. His family could not help because he did not have the means for emergency situations or at least one push-up”, he added.
” Near the Austrian town of Mariazell, a 62-year-old teacher lost his life as a result of a snow jam of”, police reported.
His neuroscientists could not help him without risking the same fate as their teacher”, she added.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old skier was covered by the avalanche in northern Slovakia, according to the Slovak rescue service, HSS.
At the Austrian resort of Wildkogel, six German teenagers survived in isolated incidents, as they were covered with snow.
On both sides of the German-austrian border, schools are closed, traffic is in complete paralysis, while residents are complaining of possible collapse of houses because of the weight created by the huge amount of falling snow.
German Meteorological Service, DWD, predicts non-stop snow until next week, especially in the mountainous regions.
