Figures by the Federal Statistics Office showed that Europe's largest economy rose significantly.
Economic growth actually contracted in the third quarter of the year, with only 0.2%, with the cause being said to be global trade disputes, Kosova Prees broadcast.
At the beginning of the year, the German economy was expected to grow by 1.8%. In 2017 the increase was 2.2%.
