LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa - once the country's former prime minister - has said that in Kosovo more is increasing the number of those receiving government aid than those employed.
In a Facebook status, Mustafa has said unemployment remains the biggest problem in Kosovo, and unemployment also relates to fighting crime and corruption.
“that unemployment is the biggest problem in Kosovo, resulting from all indicators, including opinion research. With unemployment related to combating crime and corruption, this phenomenon negatively affects investments in Kosovo”, it has written.
Mustafa further said that Kosovo has other important topics, but unemployed “citizens and their families need revenues”.
Kosovo had and has other important topics for the political class, such as dialogue, 100% tax, borders with Albania, international organisations, but its unemployed citizens and their families need income, for lower prices, for regular electricity supply, for education, for quality health care. The passive social policies that are being bought social peace by various well-deserved and undeserved groups, as well as deepening the wage gap between the public sector and the private sector are choking the private sector of the economy. Instead of increasing employment, the number receiving government assistance is increasing. This does not contribute to real economic growth, which should be forwarded to employment and growth of living standards”, he said.
According to Mustafa, “is necessary for this year to deal with topics that predetermine the fate and future of our citizens, to think more about opening a workplace than opening a folk theme”. /Periscopi
