American scientist once Nobel Prize winner James Watson, who has discovered the structure of DNA, has been given a prestigious title since in the new documentary film he has not given up on his racist remarks, CNN reports.
Watson, who in the years of '50s along with Francis Crick discovered the structure of DNA, has stated in a documentary that it is the genetics responsible for the difference in intelligence between white and colored people, it broadcasts Telegrafi.
The lab manager “Cold Spring Harbor” (CSHL), which Watson led from 1968 to 1993, called the comment of the former 90-year-old chief as of “turbably”. From this laboratory, they have made known that “contradicts this scientist's unfounded and ruthless personal views and concerns. They have added that his statements are “to be tried and have nothing to do with science”.
The famous molecular biologist added that although he hoped that all people would be equal, “dol would be that this is not true in people with a color”. During an interview given in 2007 for “Sunday Times”, Watson had stated that “has been deeply concerned about Africa's future, since “all social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is like that of others, while research has shown otherwise”.
Because of these statements, the CSHL had dismissed him from all administrative duties, but so far he had not received the title of honor. But even though Watson had apologized for the statements made in 2007, the new documentary on January 2nd has admitted that it has not changed its mind.
