Prosecutors of Kosovo's Specialised Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes are interviewing for the second consecutive day in Pristina, former Part of the Kosovo Liberation Army in the area of Llap, Nazif Mehmeti.
Lawyer Tahir Rrecaj, who defends Mehmet in this process, has told Radio Free Europe that his client is being interviewed in the quality of the suspect during which he was at war.
Radiation confirmed that his client was interviewed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“Yes, it is being interviewed today ( Wednesday) and I believe that today it will complete its inspection. He is being interviewed in the quality of the suspect”, Rrecaj said.
Nazif Mehmeti had been even earlier suspected of war crimes during the recent war in Kosovo.
In 2013, a court of justice consisting of judges of the European Union's Mission Court for the End of Law (EULEX), and Kosovo's men had found him guilty of certain actions during the war so Mehmet was sentenced to three years in prison.
Besides Mehmet, this tribunal in The Hague has also interviewed Sami Lushtaku's Mustaf Rrustem until Sokol Dobruna, Sabahajdin Cena, and several others have been interviewed in Pristina.
The Special Court is the fourth consecutive body dealing with the alleged war crimes investigation of members of the former Kosovo Liberation Army.
The UN Court in Kosovo, The Hague's International Tribunal and the European Union's Mission Court for Ending of Law, has been dealt with in parallel with the case.
