LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa has commemorated the fallen in Recak's Massacre on the 20th anniversary of this terrible event.
“Today 20 years ago, Recak residents woke up surrounded by forces of the Serbian regime and 45 unarmed residents of this village were ruthlessly slaughtered the same morning. The next day, O mission chief SBE William Walker, after a close visit, had declared, “From what I saw, I do not hesitate to describe the incident as massacre and crime against humanity!”, Mustafa says.
The head of the LDK has added that January 15th 1999 is one of the worst days -- of one of the worst years -- of Kosovo's history.
“This day, too, presented the world with the true face of the Milosevic regime and its fascist plans, marking the large turn of the international community's breach on this regime that resulted in NATO's 78 days shelling”, Mustafa has declared.
