As Koha Ditore” has learned, Prime Minister Ramush Hardinaj has proposed Meriton Shoshi as a person who has come to this position.
Shoshi will replace Chief Inspector Shkelzen Soopyan, who has held this position since 2015 and is expected to complete the mandate in February.
Shoshi's proposal for the third most important position in the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence comes about three months since Prime Minister Haradinaj had attempted to make Shoshi the deputy director of AKI after the dismissal of former Deputy Director Latif Merovci.
But such was rejected by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, not signing Shoshi's appointment in this position.
