Government: We have consensus on coalition, 100% tax remains

The Kosovo government has shown interest in co-ordinating activities with the United States, but has shown no signs of tax evasion of 100 percent, which was imposed after Serbia's aggressive campaign against the state of Kosovo. The US has already asked the government to immediately suspend the tax, to give the chance to reach agreement between Kosovo and Serbia in the first part of this year.
But despite statements by several ruling party exhibitors seeking tax review, the prime minister's office has insisted that there is consensus within coalition partners for continuing this move.
“Tax policy is not the policy of one institutional leader, but of many leaders, parties and institutions in the country. There is strong consensus and support within the coalition for the continuation of this policy, but even outside coalition”, said Avni Arifi, adviser to Prime Minister Haradinaj.
