Djurd: There is great pressure for the Serb people to weaken

The director of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Marko Djuric, remained in Zvecan on Tuesday, where he met with representatives of Kosovo Serbs.

The meeting has been closed to the media.

Later, Djurovic announced he has talked about the most serious problems facing the Serbian people in Kosovo.

He noted that efforts “from abroad and from within” have intensified the institutional and political unity of Serbs in Kosovo, so that Serbia's “people are weakened through various methods of pressure”.

During the meeting, Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq, who has been following the message of the union and how to maintain peace and tranquillity over the coming period, has been locked up.

Djurovic also announced that at the meeting with Kosovo Serb representatives, 141 projects Serbia is implementing in Kosovo, including new schools, roads and hospitals.

Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakic said that Kosovo Serbs listen every day to “incomprehensible threats from political representatives in Pristina, among which even for the union of Mitrovica”, adding that the “goal is not the economic union of Mitrovica but the ethnic cleansing of Serbs from northern Mitrovica”.

“We agreed to stay unique, as we heard from President Vuciq, since the state of Serbia is powerful and is with us” said Rakic.
