Surroi in debate on “subject The books are burned but ideas, not”, have indicated that this group of people tolerate free thought until that thought endangers it and until it enters the course of decision making.
Publicist Surroi speaking of the challenges of free thought in fragile democracy in Kosovo, has said the act of burning the book is an act of violence.
He has stressed that the country's endangerrs are seen as the intellectuals who write and express free opinion, who dislike power, and who, according to him, condemn power when their thinking endangers it.
Speaking of censorship, Surroi criticised public television, where, according to him, the refusal of this medium in this debate shows how caught and dependent on the state is.
Among other things, he mentioned the appearance of a drama that was unable by the National Theatre.
Surro's novel, “The legs of the Serpent” whose copies were sold in record time, was burned in 2014 by a group of citizens in Skenderaj and Ferizaj.
