Borrell relates how Trump had insisted that building a wall similar to that along the United States border with Mexico would work for Europe as well.
Spain is one of the European countries affected by the immigrant crisis, most of which are refugees from the Saharan countries.
Borrell, who had once been president of the European Parliament, has not indicated when Trump had presented this radical idea. But it is believed that such a thing happened in June, when he had traveled to the United States, at the same time that the king and queen of Spain had accomplished a visit to the White House.

Borrell reportedly disagreed with this idea of Trump, but had stated that it is necessary to undertake something to prevent the immigrant crisis, as in the next 20 years, it is envisioned for Africa to double its population.
The former European Parliament president had criticised Italy's Interior Minister, Matteo Salvin, who had ordered the return of a ship of 600 African refugees who were later deployed in Spain.
On the other hand, American President Donald Trump during the elections had promised to build a wall on the border of Mexico, which he said would force Mexico to pay. /Periscopi
