Thaci praises Limaj's political experience, with which the reports have broken down

President Thaci is very pleased with the government-appointed negotiating team, which tops Fatmir Limaj. Reports between Thaci and Limaj have already calmed down, and the president today said he has confidence in the political experience of his former associate, who for several years had turned into political enemies.

President Hashim Thaci, during a media conference, has said he is confident of the team that the Government has formed to join him in negotiations with Serbia, which so far alone was accomplished.

I am confident that Mr. Limaj and the rest of the team will give new dynamics with their experiences”, Thaci has said.

Thaci has also commented on statements by Serbian officials, including President Alexander Vuciq, that they refuse to negotiate with Limaj in Brussels.

The “does not make Belgrade selection, but Kosovo institutions”, Thaci has said.

While, after proposing to be chief negotiator, Limaj at Pressing Television 7, said the team was created not to leave the whole dialogue with Serbia in the hands of President Thaci.

Also, Limaj said he is one of the people who has the most reason not to join Thaci, but that he is making the agreement with Serbia not by one.

And, Limaj, during an interview in 2016, when reports with his former associate were strained, he said Thaci humbled himself to the one he needs while throwing it away when he doesn't need it.

“Hashim Thaci is without political principles. In politics, he has only interests, no matter left or right. There are no program principles. If you need to bend, if you don't have to destroy”, Limaj said in a public statement in November 2016.

Now when Thaci exalts Limaj and his political experience, Limaj seems to be needing it, considering that the president was being widely rejected by the political spectrum in the country.
