Merkel from Skopje: Western Balkans Key to EU Stability

She has said that “stability from the point of view of Germany and Europe, we have more interest in the stable region. When you look at the map, you know that the Western Balkans is crucial to the stability of the entire European Union”.
According to her “territorial integrity is an important starting point in order to have co-operation when all Balkan states are part of the European Union”.
Otherwise Merkel has visited Skopje, on the eve of holding the name referendum in Macedonia.
It has invited citizens of this state to come out on September 30th and vote for their country's Euro-Atlantic future.
