Italian investors in Malisheva today have opened up business, which deals with the cultivation of Alkeng -- known as the wild tomato -- a fruit that many uses and high value and many benefits for which plants, Kosovo has favourable climate conditions.
At the opening of the office in Malisheva, Italian investor Pier Pavlo Cavalier said it is a very good opportunity for the cultivation of this product in Kosovo, where it is the first in Europe. He showed that prior to this product, it was imported from Colombia, but today it is a huge requirement for this product in European countries because it produces a very quality product.
Cavalier: Kosovo Has Possible Development
“E we have seen that in Kosovo there is potential development, there are good terrain, there are good opportunities. We're starting work with this office first. We're putting the first stone on a very giant project. Not only production, but also cultivating it in Kosovo, to give a very good product”, he said and added that what we are doing is a great help to farmers.
Hajdin Berisha, deputy chairman of the Malisheva municipality, said he and the Italian investor are meeting for the third time and are now in working environments and praised a good day for the citizens of the Malisheva municipality and Kosovo.
Berisha: In the future we will create conditions for business development
“Since the first moment, when in co-operation with government policies this business has been offered to us, municipality institutions have welcomed it, made conditions for meetings, and in the future we will create conditions for business development, which we are interested in as institutions, but also the citizens of the Malisheva municipality”, Berisha said.
Trade and Industry Minister Arbene Krasniqi's duty to opening the office told him that this office is lucky and following continued success”.
Krasniqi: Malisheva Farmers Need Such Investment
I feel good to be in my hometown here today and we're starting with such serious projects. Malisheva farmers need such an investment. Malishevo is showing once again that it's serious to accept foreign investors, and of course that's a good feeling for me”, she said.
Vesel Krasniqi, deputy minister of agriculture, said today is a big day for the citizens of Malisheva and showed that they have met with investors even in the Ministry of Agriculture, where as the minister they have taken the business idea seriously and asked investors to put the product into the agriculture ministry's 2019 programme.
