Minister Dona Hoxha has welcomed the European Parliament's pro vote for visa liberalisation for Kosovo.
Through a Facebook status, she congratulates citizens for this shared success.
Dear citizens,
Following the Commission's request for the European Parliament's parliamentary groups, it took place today and was voted on visa liberalisation. This is good news for our citizens, for free movement, for the future of our youth.
Our institutions, central and local levels, have committed all conditions for liberalisation. After this extraordinary work on all fields and levels, this vote today is gratitude and evidence that our citizens deserve free movement.
Today, Kosovo and its citizens also received gratitude for the work done with meeting all the criteria and our citizens moving freely. We have stressed that the welfare of citizens is and remains our priority. Our citizens deserve free movement, which we are now only one step away.
I thank rapporteurs for Kosovo and parliamentary groups in the European Parliament, as well as the euro deputies who had consensus for the free movement of Kosovo citizens, the permanent commitment for visa liberalisation to take place as soon as possible. Express deep and sincere respect, even in the name of Kosovo citizens for Mrs. Fajon for all he has done for this very important process.
Congratulations on This Common Success
