At the University of Pristina Student Centre today, the competition for application for students who want to live in dormitories concludes. So far, over 70,000 students have applied for 40,000 countries, while the capacity of the Student Centre is. Directors said that boarding renovations are under way and are expected to be ready for the start of the new academic year.
The University of Pristina Student Centre is making preparations to accept students who will be accepted for residence in dormitories. At this centre today, the deadline for application ends, meanwhile, over 70,000 students have competed. Student Centre Director Fatmir Sfishta told Radio Kosovo that even this year the number of interested persons is very large compared to the capacity this centre has. He announced that 4 thousand students will be accepted, who meet the initial competition criteria.
The basic “Kritier is to be a regular student of the University of Pristina, to be 25km from the capital. Acceptability gives children who belong to war categories, and we also give priority to students whose families are poor economically, with special needs, etc. Some of these categories are also released from payments.
Sfisha disclosed that all old dorms are in renovation and are expected to be ready early in October.
It's a project that we have donated from the World Bank and the Ministry of Economic Development, mainly for old dormitories. I think the conditions of old dorms will be very close to those that offer new dorms. ”
Students who have applied to live in dorms feel they meet the conditions for admission.
The results for the students' admission to the Student Centre will be announced on September 23rd, while the deadline for complaints will last three days. A representative from the Student Parliament of the University of Pristina will attend the complaint commission. At the same time, there will be no second deadline for enrollment in dormitories, as capacities will be fulfilled on this deadline.
