Trafficing 800kg of drugs, investigations uncovers group of Albanians who are dealing with cocaine Germany

German law enforcement authorities have managed to acquire an estimated 800kg of cocaine, which was trafficked from South America to Germany. The results of this investigation, codenamed “Paraguaj”, became known this Monday, German media reports.

In December, about 250kg of cocaine were seized by German law enforcement authorities in Saarland, at a banana roasting plant in Neunkirchen. If put on the market, around 50m euros are estimated to be won by the cocaine sale.

Investigations revealed that just a few weeks ago, about 310kg of cocaine was transported to the same company in Neunkirchen.

A group of Albanian traffickers, who was aware of the shipment, entered the company and stole about 250kg of cocaine. It is reported that the factory's workers, who stored drugs hidden in banana cargo, were unaware of the traffic. It is from this theft that investigators reportedly fell in the footsteps of the group.

The same scheme has been used by the group several times in other areas of Germany.

In the harshness of the investigation, a total of about 800kg of cocaine was seized, the largest amount ever seized in Germany according to local media.

Eight people were arrested during the investigation, including traffickers and funders. The names of the arrested persons are not disclosed, but reportedly were part of a group of Albanians.

During a search at a hotel in Neunkircher last week, Sarland narcotics investigators reportedly were able to provide new evidence.
