Tahiri: Encourage institutions to verify the exact number of veterans

In a status on the social network Facebook -- the first of the justice in the Government of Kosovo -- has stressed that accusations against institutions should be seriously addressed.

Any charge against institutions has its responsibility, as much as it should be taken seriously and addressed to the end. Unfortunately, this is impossible to avoid confrontation and fail to address problems through institutional routes” has written Tahiri.

Although powers are split, Tahiri has written that no one is independent of the responsibility he manages with institutional activity.

“On the other hand, powers are divided and independent in their work under the mandate the Constitution has defined, but none is independent of the responsibility of how it manages institutional activity. Each of us should be responsible for a system of lasting, efficient, accounting and transparent justice, which is in full accordance with our formalistic aspirations and in full compliance with the expectations of the citizens to whom we serve. In all of this discourse, what's most important is that there is no deviation from the concrete problem” wrote further Tahiri.

The minister has also on this case asked the institutions responsible to continue the investigation to the end in the matter of verifying the number of KLA's veterans to give due punishment to the perpetrators.

“As justice minister, I encourage institutions responsible to address to the end the question of verifying the number of Kosovo Liberation Army veterans and bringing to justice any abuser with the most subtle values of our society. Any money of our taxpayers that has been misused in the name of the status of war veterans must be restored and the abusers must receive due punishment” has concluded Tahiri.
