Currently, the entire political class in Kosovo is busy dealing with Thaci's ideas about dialogue with Serbia. They talk about the security and sovereignty of the state of Kosovo, but are failing to secure our families.
Just look at the last post of Justice Minister Facebook, Mr. Abelard Tahiri. He deals precisely with Thaci's idea of exchanging territories with Serbia. Look at the opposition, too. Even when he remembered the president, he was once reminded of a murder that shocked the country.
Is there an answer to that? Why are the people for whom there's an indictment for tinging? Are there more coloured messages with threat and crime than that:
I'll find you... I'll make it...”
That was the message that the man had sent to the woman who killed the girl in Gjakova. Isn't that enough threat? What more should a threatening message contain to be dealt with seriously in a state (that is supposed to be) serious?
Look at the seriousness of all this. Kosovo police still operate with task officers. So, not even the leading man of the police himself, is still in practice.
And the cases of women victims, as a result of rowing, domestic violence only increases and increases. Zeynep Bytyqi, Diana Kastrati, Diana Dhubi, Donjeta Piaziri, Antigona Morina, and five women who were killed only last year. Of all of them, the police lost a call that called for help to escape the violence of their husbands.
Here are some statistics that bring in research by the Kosovo Women's Network that show that the serious state would have to take urgent serious measures against domestic violence:
47 %s of Kosovars agree that if the husband is not employed, violence is common sometimes
22 % think it's okay for a woman to get hit sometimes.
68 % of women in Kosovo have experienced domestic violence in their lives.
61.7 % of Kosovars believe that if there is domestic violence, the wife should return to her family until the husband should stay home until the case is resolved.
Does it need more powerful bells to listen to, that these statistics along with the number of murdered women would have to serve someone to treat them?
And even as many lost calls, it was the performance of a group of women who were killed who sought help before they were killed.
