“Projections for the last week of August, false for temperatures at least 20 degrees Celsius, enable 90% to say with certainty that the 2003 record will be past”, noted an IMM Director, David Dehenauw, writes ATSH.
Three years after Belgium's creation, regular meteorological surveys began in 1833 station “Bruxellis-Uccle”, according to the ARM website.
“The summer of 2018 is the hottest ever recorded, mainly because of two heat waves involving Belgium in June and early August”, Dehenau explains.
