Sulejman Ugljanin, chairman of the National Council of Bosniaks in Serbia, in an exclusive interview for the newspaper “Voice” has sharply criticised state leaders in Belgrade for failing to allow Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli to visit Novi Pazar. According to him, Kosovo issue is already resolved, while Serbia says it has regime
An official invitation sent to Kosovo Republic Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli to visit Novi Pazar last weekend has led Serbia's state leaders to run the entire “arsenal” against Sulejman Ugljanin, chairman of the National Council of Bosniaks in Serbia.
Ugljanin was accused of such an invitation by the Serbian media for putting “y in front of Serbia's” state, especially when through an official document of the National Council of Bosniaks invited Pacolli, who was referred to as foreign minister of the Republic of Kosovo, to visit Novi Pazar.
The leaders of the institutions in Belgrade immediately and “signed” on charges against Ugljanin, saying that “approvals such as these make them whenever his party is not part of central power.
He has been minister without portfolio in former Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica's government, while during the period of 2004-2008 he was also president of Novi Pazar.
In an exclusive interview for the newspaper “Voice” Ugljanin shows why he invited Pacolli to visit Novi Pazar.
For years we have heard the same story about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, the Serbian version. We expressed our desire to enable the citizens of Sandzak to hear the other side. In addition, we asked Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli to present his vision of the process of regional stability and co-operation in the Balkans”, Ugljanin says of “Zer”.
According to him, the reluctance of the Serbian regime in order to enable all citizens to hear even different opinions better reflects the character of this regime.
The leader of the Party of Democratic Action in Novi Pazar and the National Council of Bosniaks in Serbia has strong ties with Kosovo after being born in Mitrovica, while studies at the Faculty of Stomatology have ended at Pristina University.
Former boxer of the boxing club “Radnicki” during this interview for “Zerin” gives a strong blow to politics in Belgrade, confirming that the Kosovo status issue is resolved, while saying there is political regime in Serbia.
He has accused Serbia of committing genocide in Bosnia, Kosovo and Sandzak, as he says, such crimes have been brought before the eyes of the international community, so he requires that political representatives of Bosniaks be included in talks in Brussels in mid-Pristina and Belgrade.
