(8 years ago)The Council of European Investors (KIE), based on the latest World Economic Freedoms report from the Heritage Foundation, welcomes the fact that the Republic of Kosovo is ranked second in the region, to 56th in the world rankings, as well as 27th among 44 countries in the European region. These indicators show that in Kosovo it is working in the right direction and especially that there have been improvements in terms of fiscal reforms.
However, KIE urged relevant institutions to continue the joint work and intensify dialogue with private sector representatives so that we can improve other aspects of the impasse, such as global economic integration, political stability, fighting corruption and nepotism, sustainable energy supply, rule of law, and compliance with contracts.
