The meeting discussed the security issue and the processes through which the Republic of Kosovo is going through.
Kosovo's “government and its security institutions will continue to fight illegal activities in connection with violent extremism and radicalism in the Republic of Kosovo”, said Minister Gashi.
Later, Minister Gashi confirmed to Marocco that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is also committed to fighting all kinds of organised crime, including trans-border crime.
In this direction, Minister Gashi estimated that membership in INTERPOL is now a must for providing security not only in the Republic of Kosovo, but also in the region and beyond.
On the other hand, US Deputy Secretary of State for Conflict Prevention Issue Pete Marocco praised the achievements in Kosovo and confirmed that it is necessary for a greater commitment to preserving and raising the level of security in Kosovo.
In this case, he pledged that US support in strengthening further security institutions in Kosovo will continue.
